Colin Irvine

Colin is from Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin and has been kayaking whitewater since 1998. He has travelled extensively in Europe, the United States, Zambia, Uganda, Costa Rica, Nepal, Norway, India, Ecuador, Chile and New Zealand. He is an experienced ICU and BCU Level 4 instructor and works between trips as a Geography teacher and freelance kayak instructor.

Ciaran Maguire

'Kipper' Maguire is one of Ireland's best known kayakers. Paddling since 1987, he has notched up a string of overseas paddling trips in the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, India and countless trips across Europe. For several years Ciaran dominated the Irish freestyle competition scene, competing in several world championship events. Kipper owns an adventure sports business together with Brian Keogh. Ross Redmond

Ross, is from Roscrea in Tipperary. He has been kayaking for ten yrs and has a wealth of experience both at home and abroad, notching up rivers in India, Ecuador, Chile, Norway, the United States, the Alps and Uganda. In fact he takes particular pride in having eaten the national sandwich of nine different countries within a 12 month period. Ross now works in Cork as an environmental scientist and is an ICU level 3 instructor.

Davy Byrne

Davy Byrne is a bright new talent from Dublin. Currently studying at UCD he has recently joined the Irish Freestyle training squad. The river Boyne remains his all-time favorite run but with an upcoming trip to Uganda this summer, that opinion may be about to change! Davy is working towards his level 3 instructorship and spent much of the last 2 summers in the French Alps.

Rob Murphy

Known to his boxing foes as the "red destroyer", Rob Murphy has recently re-launched a paddling career that started at the age of 14. Travels to Italy and Zambia helped him find his paddling form before completing a 3 month Alpine Guide's course with H2O Extreme last winter. A tour of Europe in his trusty HiAce took in the white water classics of Italy, France, Austria and Norway in the summer of 2005 (more...). Not content with this, Robbo headed almost immediately for the dizzy heights of the Andes and the rivers of Ecuador and Chile during the winter 2005/6... and has more trips planned.

Rob is a fully qualified carpenter, which pays for his many adventures. He is also an ICU level 3 instructor. Many of Rob's photos feature in the photography section of the website and he'll be reporting back from his trips in 2006.
